The choir is busy with final preparations for Friday's and Sunday's concert at St. Cecilia Cathedral. Being that St. Cecilia is the patron saint of music and musicians, combined with the beauty of the cathedral itself gives this concert the perfect setting for the reflective and joyous music we have for this concert.
Here are a few quick reminders for attending one of the concerts this weekend.
There are parking lots located on the south and west sides of the cathedral.
The doors for Friday's and Sunday's concert will open 45 minutes before the concert starts.
If you have already purchased your ticket for the concert and have it in hand, please enter through the south side door of the cathedral.
If you are picking up you ticket from our will call, or would like to purchase tickets the day of the concert, please enter through the north side door of the cathedral. There will be ushers just inside to help you get your tickets.
If stairs are a challenge there is a ramp located at the South side door entrance. Please feel free to use the ramp even if you need to purchase tickets. Just let the ushers know and they will help you get to our ticket table.
We made a change to our ticket pricing this year. Instead of a preferred and general seating, we have gone to all general seating. So, if you like being close to the "action" you might want to arrive a bit early, and if you like the sound of the choir and orchestra blended together you can choose the more center or back of the cathedral. Which section you sit is up to you.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday or Sunday and can't wait to bring this wonderful concert to you. You can still purchase tickets by clicking here.
I will leave you with a bit of Precious Child by David Gardner.
